Who we are
Web Design Point is ("Web Design Point", "we", "us" or "our"). References to Web Design Point in this document mean Web Design Point.
This policy explains what personal information we collect through webdesignpoint.com, our forms, our job applications and our business email, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Inquiries and newsletter: the name, email, telephone number, organization, website, investment range and project context you provide, along with the page where you submitted the form.
Job applications: your name, contact details, location, work preference, LinkedIn profile or portfolio link, resume file and anything you choose to include in your message.
Business outreach: for companies we may be able to help, we collect publicly available business information, such as the company name, its website, a published business email address and observations about the public website, for example page speed or mobile display.
Technical information: the date and time of a submission, your IP address and basic server logs that we use to operate and protect the website. We do not use advertising trackers.
How we use information
We use personal information to reply to inquiries, prepare proposals, provide services, review job applications, send business communication you can opt out of at any time, keep the website secure and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising.
Legal bases for processing
Where laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the UK GDPR apply, we process personal information on these bases: to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and to perform a contract (inquiries, proposals and services); our legitimate interests in running and securing our business, recruiting and offering relevant services to businesses; your consent, where we ask for it, which you may withdraw at any time; and compliance with legal obligations. Web Design Point is the controller of your personal information.
Business outreach and opting out
If we contact your business by email, each message identifies Web Design Point as the sender, includes our postal address and a link to this policy, and offers a one click way to opt out. Opt out requests are honored promptly, within 2 business days and never later than 10 business days, and opted out addresses stay on a permanent do not contact list.
We follow the rules of the recipient's country. In the United States we follow the CAN SPAM Act. In the United Kingdom we email only incorporated businesses, never sole traders or individuals, under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. In Canada and Australia we email only addresses a business has published itself on its own website, with no statement refusing marketing, about services relevant to that business, and we keep a record of where and when each address was found. We do not send unsolicited marketing email to recipients in the European Union or European Economic Area, or anywhere the law requires prior consent we do not have.
For business outreach we rely on our legitimate interest in offering relevant services to businesses, balanced against your rights. You can object at any time and we will stop.
Job applicant information
Application materials are used only to evaluate you for current and future roles. Resumes are stored privately on our own server, outside the public website, and are available only to the people involved in hiring. We keep application materials for up to 24 months so we can consider you for future openings, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Sharing and service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run the business, such as our hosting provider and our email provider, and only as needed to provide their services. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our clients or the public. If the business is reorganized or sold, information may transfer to the successor under the same protections.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our website and records are hosted on servers in the United States. If you contact us from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses with our service providers, and we protect your information as described in this policy.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, does not load fonts or scripts from third parties and does not share your browsing with anyone. Because we use no nonessential cookies, we do not show a cookie banner. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it and update this policy.
Security and retention
We protect information with encrypted connections, restricted server access, private storage outside the public website and regular security updates. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above, for legal requirements or for legitimate business records.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it or stop contacting you at any time by emailing support@webdesignpoint.com. The section below describes additional rights that apply in specific regions.
Rights for residents of specific regions
European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a portable copy of your personal information, to object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California and other United States states with privacy laws: you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, to access, correct and delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, and we do not collect sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics. In the last 12 months we collected identifiers, professional information and internet activity information as described above, only for the purposes in this policy.
Canada, Australia, Brazil and other countries: you have the access, correction and complaint rights your local privacy law provides, including the right to complain to your national privacy regulator.
To use any of these rights, email support@webdesignpoint.com. We will verify your request using the email address you used with us and respond within 30 days, or sooner where your law requires. You may use an authorized agent where your law allows. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you using only automated processing. Every job application is reviewed by a person.
Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16, and we do not employ applicants under 18.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services change. The effective date above shows the latest version. For privacy questions or requests, contact Web Design Point at support@webdesignpoint.com.
